Chuck Ritzke, FSA, MAAA Consulting Actuary 847.551.1600 Cell 847.322.5007 Chuck@MyActuary.com Chuck is a Consulting Actuary for Problem Solving Enterprises (PSE), which he founded in 1995. Chuck has over 31 years experience in the actuarial profession. His consulting work has been in the areas of product development, marketing software development, web development, internet marketing, direct marketing, financial modeling, valuation, administrative systems, customer service support, marketing/agency support, and policyholder taxation. Prior to forming PSE, Chuck held various senior management roles at Zurich Life of America, including Executive Vice President of New Business, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Actuary. In these roles, he undertook major initiatives in the areas of strategic planning, incentive compensation, re-engineering, employee training, reinsurance negotiations, agency/sales management, product/sales compliance and the development of a direct marketing distribution system. Chuck started his career at Bankers Life of Casualty in Chicago, IL. Chuck also had a part in the founding of two “dot com” including www.MyPoints.com, a premier internet rewards program, where he helped in developing and implementing the initial business plan and in obtaining venture capital funding. Chuck is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has been actively involved in professional activities including past chair of the SOA Entrepreneurial Actuaries section, current council member of the SOA Marketing and Distribution section. Chuck has also participated as a member of various work groups/committees and as a speaker at various industry meetings. Chuck received a B.S in mathematics from Rockford College, did graduate work in mathematics at Louisiana State University and received an M.S. in mathematics from the University of Illinois. |

Betsy Alfaro BusinessConsultant 847.692.6899 Cell 847.910.9820 Betsy@MyActuary.com Betsy is a partner and Consultant with PSE. Betsy has over 27 years of actuarial, management, project leadership, and international experience in the life insurance business. Particular areas of experience have included business planning for new initiatives, financial analysis of direct marketing business, actuarial department manager, software development, valuation (life and annuity), and product development. Betsy can provide Spanish language support for your projects. Prior to joining PSE, Betsy was Director of Valuation for Capital Assurance Corporation in Indianapolis, IN where she managed the valuation of annuity business for Standard Life of Indiana. Betsy also worked for Chase Insurance (formerly Zurich Life of America) for 22 years in various capacities in Schaumburg, IL. These included being part of the management team for Zurich Direct (one of the earliest direct marketing organizations for competitive term life insurance), actuarial services management, and a three year international stint providing actuarial and management support to Zurich Life companies in Spain, Argentina, Mexico, and Switzerland. Betsy started her career at Bankers Life and Casualty in Chicago, IL. Betsy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Texas.
